Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Vidyakrit, the multi-tenant School Management Software-as-a-Service ("Service") operated by Technokrits ("we", "us", "our"). By subscribing to or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, you confirm you are authorised to bind the school you represent to these Terms. If you are using the Service personally as a teacher, parent, or student, you accept these Terms on your own behalf.

2. What we provide

The Service is a cloud-hosted school management platform that includes:

• Tenant-scoped portals for administrators, teachers, parents and students.
• Modules for admissions, attendance, fees, exams, certificates, communications, and more.
• A super-admin tier operated by Technokrits for platform-level analytics and support.
• Optional integrations (SMS, payment gateway, email) which are subject to the third party's own terms.

3. Account responsibility

• You are responsible for keeping login credentials confidential.
• You agree to enable Two-Factor Authentication for super-admin and school-admin roles before deploying to production.
• Activity performed under your account is your responsibility, including activity by staff you create.

4. Subscription, billing, refunds

The Service is offered on monthly or annual subscription tiers.

• Billing is in INR and includes applicable taxes. Plan prices are listed on the pricing page.
• A school subscription must be paid for the school account to remain active beyond the trial period.
• On non-payment past 7 days of due date, the account is suspended; 30 days of suspension may result in archival of data.
• Refunds are pro-rated for the unused portion of a paid term if the school cancels within 30 days of renewal.

5. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages or DLT-non-compliant SMS.
• Attempt to access another tenant's data, exploit a vulnerability, or run automated scanners against the platform without prior written permission.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the Service for the purpose of building a competing product.
• Store data that violates Indian law (e.g. CSAM, infringing copyright, or content prohibited by the IT Act 2000 §69A).
• Use the Service in a way that materially degrades performance for other tenants on shared infrastructure.

6. Your data

The school remains the controller of its data; Technokrits is the processor. We process data on your documented instructions per the Privacy Policy.

You can export your data (students, fees, attendance, certificates) at any time via the in-app Excel/CSV export buttons. On termination, we provide a one-time SQL + media export within 30 days at no extra charge.

7. Service level

We target 99.0% monthly uptime for paid plans. Scheduled maintenance windows are announced 48 hours in advance. The trial tier has no SLA — it is provided as-is for evaluation.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the subscription fees paid by your school in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages (loss of profits, data corruption beyond what backups can restore, third-party gateway failures).

9. Termination

Either party may terminate by 30 days written notice. We may terminate immediately for breach of the Acceptable Use section or for non-payment beyond the suspension window. On termination, your data export window is open for 30 days; thereafter we may delete the data permanently.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes (price, refund window, SLA, data location) will be announced via in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.
